What to do if You Are Raped

Get to a safe place as soon as possible.

Find a supportive person, either a friend or a relative.

See a medico-legal doctor immediately to prevent possible pregnancy and to treat any injuries or infections you may have contacted during the sexual assault. Do not wash yourself or change your clothers until you see a medical doctor, even if you are not going to report the attack to the police.

Do not take any medication or alcohol if you are going to report the attack to the police.
